Master's Degree Program

Master's Degree Program

The philosophy of the master’s program (MA) fundamentally differs from the comprehensive and overview nature of the undergraduate program. During these four semesters, emphasis is placed on the individual work of students, enabling them to write a scientifically advanced thesis. Every student must choose a major and a minor specialization. In the major specialization, students are required to complete lectures with varied topics, accompanying seminars, as well as thesis seminars that support the preparation of the thesis, supplemented by freely elective courses.

The general archaeology training includes Archaeological Museology and Museum Practice, which prepare students for museum work, as well as excavation practice. The program concludes with a thesis and a final examination.
